The Charles Theater
An all time favorite date of ours is to see a movie at the artsy, yet sophisticated, Charles Theater paired with dinner and drinks at the adjoining restaurant, Tapas Teatro (inviting, hip and delicious). Both are located one block north of Penn Station on North Charles Street. On warm nights you can sit outside to eat and watch interesting people come and go -- once I saw a cop let a pretty lady test drive his Segway up and down the street! Incidentally, Tapas Teatro is a sister restaurant to The Helmand. Both are owned by the brother of Hamid Karzai (president of Afghanistan). Small world, huh? Tom and I went on a Tuesday night date last night, which was great because no one was around and we found free 3 hrs on street parking on S. Exeter Street! We went down to Harbor East, one of my favorite areas in town, and had a drink at "Vino Rosina" and saw "Hannah" at the Landmark Theaters.
